Greenville, SC – On November 19-20, the Bon Secours Wellness Arena was transformed by the US Marine Corps and The Rise Guys from 93.3 The Planet for their annual 28 Hour Broadcast benefiting Toys for Tots.
This year, the Marine truck displays were bigger, the weather was warmer and the cash donations were up over 30%. The event collected almost 3,000 toys and over $8,600 in cash donations.
“Having recently moved to this area, I had heard great things about this event, but was unsure what to expect. I’m proud to say that this is the best Toys for Tots drive I have ever had the privilege of being a part of,” said First Sergeant John Serpa. “I am proud to be a part of such a generous community.”
During the event, fans who donated were treated to food and drinks, a special guest performance by Benton Blount, a visit from the Clemson Tiger, and were able to register to win prizes including tickets to upcoming shows at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
“The 12th Annual Rise Guys 28 Hour Broadcast on 93.3 The Planet for Toys for Tots at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena was a huge success. I am proud of the hard work The Rise Guys and Entercom Team put in to make this event so successful,” says Entercom Greenville Market Manager, Steve Sinicropi. “The 28 Hour Broadcast makes Christmas special for many local families. The staffs at Bon Secours Wellness Arena and the United States Marine Corps made this event run flawlessly. I want to thank our sponsors: Carolina Vapor Mill, Rob Ianuario, Pepsi and The United States Marine Corps and all the listeners who donated so generously.”
